On Thursday June the 19th Sydney got to host a very unique an intimate fan event for Paramount Pictures highly anticipated blockbuster Hercules at Event cinemas George Street, with Hollywood heavyweight and legendary WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson walking the black carpet alongside producer Beau Flynn and Australian actor Steve Peacocke, who plays a supporting role on the epic action flick.
“The people’s champion” unleashed the joy of his fans around 6:15 by hitting the black carpet in full glory, and despite being rushed to conduct interviews and to aim a deadline to introduce the 12 minutes of exclusive footage of the film, “The Rock” took his time to meet and greet all his supporters, with some die-hard fans coming from Perth and even from overseas just to get a glimpse of him.
Johnson, also had the time to stop for a chat with every single media outlet around, showing how humble he is, despite being today’s Hollywood highest paid actor, even delaying the screening and Q&A for more than 45 minutes in order to make as much people happy as possible by spending some seconds with them.
We were lucky enough to chat with Mr. Johnson about the favourite character he has played so far and the chances of going back to the WWE. In addition, we also had a very interesting chat with producer Beau Flynn about working with The Rock and the genesis of this new take on the character of Hercules, making this one of the best interviews in our site’s history so far.
