Game Of Thrones Season 5 Premiere at the Sydney Opera House
The Sydney Opera House forecourt was lit up in dragonfire on Monday night, as Foxtel celebrated the launch of Games Of Thrones Season 5 in style by premiering the highly anticipated first episode at the iconic venue. Special Guest at the Premiere was none other than Drogon the Dragon, the most powerful of Daenerys’s three fire-breathing monsters. Regular Game Of Thrones-fans may remember that while Drogon’s siblings Rhaegal and Viserion were imprisoned in Season 4, Drogon broke loose and escaped. And now the suddenly surprisingly well-behaved dragon (not by far as unpredictable nor dangerous as in the show) landed at the steps of the Sydney Opera House to show off his impressive fire-breathing skills and to pose for pictures with Game Of Thrones-fans.
Inside the Opera House a Danaerys-lookalike posed near a copy of the iron throne, while several celebs entered via the red carpet. Biggest name present was George Takei, mainly known as Sulu from the original Star Trek series. Once the audience entered the main hall of the world famous iconic building, fans were welcomed with tribal percussionists dressed in Dothraki warrior gear. After their performance the first episode thundered through the Opera House at an ear-deafening volume. Spotlight Report was thrilled to be there, if only all episodes of this epic series could be watched in such spectacular fashion…
Game Of Thrones Season 5 can now be watched exclusively through Foxtel’s Showcase http://www.showcasechannel.com.au/shows/game-of-thrones/
