Rock – Singles of the Week

Dan Sultan – The Same Man

While it’s not the best song by Dan Sultan on his new and terrific album ‘Blackbird‘ , it’s still an amazing song

Coldplay – Oceans

We wish Coldplay would just put us out of our misery and release this new album already. After releasing ‘Magic‘, ‘Midnight‘ and now ‘Oceans‘, we absolutely can not wait to hear what else the boys have in store for us. If this is any indication the new album will be absolutely incredible. This song is finally going back to the Coldplay we all know and love, as opposed to their not so great album Mylo Xyloto, this takes us back to Coldplay’s ‘Parachute‘ days. Check out their live performance of it on BBC’s Live Lounge.

Pop – Singles of the Week

BANKS – Goddess

Jillian Banks, who goes by the stage name of BANKS, is the epitome of the meaning Goddess – her new single is the perfect combination of R&B and pop. Once again BANKS proves she can do no wrong, after her ‘London‘ EP rocketed her name to stardom and since performing with The Weekend and on Coachella’s stage, so earlier on in her career. Her debut album ‘Goddess‘ is expected to be released in September.

Highasakite – Last Wednesday

Highasakite are a norwegian indie pop band, who have been around for sometime in their home country. However, they are relatively new to the rest of the world and these guys are defiantly ones to watch. ‘Last Wednesday‘ is our favourite track off their incredible second album ‘Silent Treatment‘ which was released a last month.

Introducing – Singles of the Week

Chasing Grace – Run

They may sound familiar to you – that’s probably because Chasing Grace have featured on both Naughty Boy’s album on song ‘So Strong‘ and James Arthur’s ‘Certain Things‘ – which you may remember we raved about when we wrote his album review. In case you forgot, here is a refresher.  Hailing from the UK, these old school friends consisting of  Phil Plested, Grace Ackerman, Phil Leigh and Matt Holmes make up the four piece Chasing Grace. We can’t help falling in love their music.
