The apocalyptic drama ‘These Final Hours’ has been selected to screen as part of the Directors’ Fortnight at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
Since its inception, the Directors’ Fortnight has showcased the first films of many well respected directors and as such is a fantastic platform for audiences to experience ‘These Final Hours’.
Writer/Director Zak Hilditch said “It’s an amazing honour to have ‘These Final Hours’ selected to Directors Fortnight in Cannes. I’m so thrilled that everyone’s blood, sweat and tears will be seen by an international audience in the world’s most prestigious festival”.
It’s the last day on earth, twelve hours before an event will end life as we know it. James (Nathan Phillips) makes his way across a lawless city to the party to end all parties. Along the way he somewhat reluctantly saves the life of a little girl named Rose (Angourie Rice) desperately searching for her father. Stuck with the unexpected burden of responsibility James is forced to question what really matters as the hours tick away.
‘These Final Hours’ will release in Australian cinemas on the 24th of July 2014
