Lou’s ambition takes him to a local news channel where he meets Nina (Rene Russo) who finds in him a salvation for her low ratings; Lou is willing to cross any line to get the best possible footage, even if that means becoming a part of the stories reported.nightcrawler image 2

Put simply, Nightcrawler is a fantastic thriller with Jake Gyllenhaal delivering the performance of a lifetime. He has created a creepy, twisted, ambitious and somehow naive lead character that drives the entire film. In addition, the supporting cast is spot on, with a sexy mature Rene Russo and Riz Amhed, who plays Lou’s assistant Rick, who is desperate for money.
