Art Of Music Live returns to the Sydney Opera House

The highly anticipated Art of Music Live will be back, and once again taking place at The Studio at the iconic Sydney Opera House on Thursday 16 July 2015.

Art of Music Live is an extension of the overwhelmingly successful Art of Music series which sees prominent contemporary visual artists from Australia and New Zealand come together to create a uniquely music inspired exhibition with each artist choosing an iconic piece of Australian music, using it as inspiration for their own original artwork, culminating in the Art of Music Charity Auction and a sumptuous Gala Dinner, with special guests and live entertainment.

Art of Music Live brings together some of the country’s most acclaimed musical artists who bring to life the artworks in the Art of Music Series by reimagining the music that inspired them in the first place, resulting in some incredibly unique and moving performances.

This year’s event sees Billie McCarthy, James Reyne, Jonathan Zwartz Ensemble, Mark & Lily Lizotte, Ngaiire, Thief, Minnie Cooper, Steve Balbi and the first ever performance by Gagpoint (Ben Quilty, Guy Maestri, Luke Scibberas, Leslie Rice and Andre de Borde and featuring a VERY special, internationally renowned, guest vocalist) taking the stage with their musical interpretations and then some!

All proceeds from Art of Music Live go to Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy who transform lives through music. We all know how powerful music is in our day-to-day lives, but it is even more powerful in a therapeutic environment. Nordoff-Robbins have given children speech, when they were told they would never speak. It has given people motor skills, when they were told they would never be able to move their arms again. And it has given new life to the elderly struggling with Dementia. The power of music truly has no boundaries.

Ticket cost: $199 per ticket includes concert and access to the exclusive, pre-show cocktail party. Tickets to this special event are available now and the booking form can be accessed from
