EA SPORTS Madden NFL 18 Review

Sport fans are in for a treat! The ultimate NFL game has just hit Australia, featuring the biggest names in the popular American sport – including Tom Brady and Matt Ryan.

As soon as the game’s loaded, players are welcomed to play a replay of this year’s epic Superbowl between the Patriots and the Falcons, with the game fully showcasing its improved graphics and motion, making EA Madden NFL 18 the most realistic NFL game yet.

The game’s biggest highlight is its history mode, “longshot” (similar to FIFA’s The Journey), with players taking the role of Devin Wide. Wide is an aspiring quarterback whose life is wracked by the tragic loss of his mother, an event that made him seek consolation in football. It’s a journey full of ups and downs.

The whole “Longshot” experience could best be described as an interactive film, and a very good one that surely will keep players stuck to their screens for at least 3 hours.

Gameplay in general is very intuitive, and the potential strategies for each turn are countless. You can even create your own. Despite some minor bugs and the occasionally excessive combinations that can go into making a play, EA Madden NFL 18 is a triumph and a must-have for sporting fans.
