Californian Metal Band Armored Saint released the video for their new song Win Hands Down, which is also the title track of their forthcoming seventh studio album.
Check out the video here:
Armored Saint is the band where former Anthrax-frontman John Bush originates from. Bush is also famous as the man who turned down the offer to become Metallica‘s fulltime vocalist in the early eighties. When Anthrax tried to get Bush in the early nineties the singer accepted the offer, as Armored Saint had disbanded at this point. With Bush on vocals Anthrax released albums such as ‘The Sound of white Noise’ and ‘We’ve Come For You All’. Armored Saint reunited in 1999, and the band has made several albums again since then.
Although they were always loved be the critics, the Saints never got as big as they should have. Win Hands Down should definitely get the band a lot of well-deserved renewed attention – especially if the title track gets picked up by big sports competitions, as the tune seems to be written for events like the Super Bowl or the AFL Grand Final.
Armored Saint will also embark on a tour to promote Win Hands Down. First up the band will play club shows in the US and festivals in Europe throughout the summer. It is not known of the band also has plans to come to Australia, where they haven’t toured since 2009, but it would be great to welcome the band here around January – Soundwave are you listening?
Win Hands Down will be released June 2nd. You can pre-order the album here http://metalblade.com/armoredsaint/
