‘Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions’ Season 2 Review

Thanks to Madman we had the chance to see the second series of ‘Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions – Heart Throb’ on DVD before its Australian release.

chinibyo s2 2The story follows the life of Yuta and Rikka, who are now both in high school, dating and secretly living together. However, all is not as it seems. Rikka still lives in a world of fantasy dragging Yuta, the dark flame master, into her delusions, and making it impossible to live a fulfilling life with Yuta as a normal couple. To make things worse, Yuta’s childhood friend Satone, who is also into chunibyo and pretends she is Sophia Ring SP Saturn VII, intensifies the young couple’s delusions and initiates a love triangle.

chinibyo s2 1The second season continues with the same characters in the school club and, as expected, is full of comedic scenes and plenty of action springing from the battles imagined by this intense group of friends. All of this is complemented by romance and some awkward situations.

The second season includes 12 episodes plus an OVA. The DVD extras include: textless opening, textless closing songs and Madman trailers.
