‘Eromanga Sensei’ Vol. 1 Review

Thanks to Madman we got to see the first six episodes of the slapstick comedy Eromanga Sensei on Blu-Ray.

This series follows high school student Masamune, who has become an author of light novels featuring sexy stunning illustrations by a mysterious artist known as Eromanga Sensei.

Masamune lives with his younger sister Sagiri who, after an incident at home, has decided to isolate herself from the world by never leaving her room.

However, Masamune’s world is shaken when he discovers that the famous Eromanga Sensei is his young shut-in sister. They become closer and redefine the boundaries of their relationship as siblings.

Eromanga Sensei is a peculiar animation, as it tries to be a comedy but due to the complexity of the relationship between the main characters who are step-siblings that have a crush on each other, but decide to stay as siblings after all in order to work together and create the ultimate sexy light novel… Yes, we’re as confused as you’ll be about the morality of the main storyline.

Putting the main plot aside, the series is mostly carried by good secondary characters, beautiful animation, as well as some good comedy bits.
