BE THE FIRST TO GET LOST IN WAYWARD PINES
Australia’s global release of the most talked about new psychological thriller
Australian audiences will be the first to view the brilliant M. Night Shyamalan’s 10-episode event-series of the year, Wayward Pines, when it airs on FX on Thursday 14 May. And to follow this, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced the digital release of the worldwide premiere episode the following day, allowing all Australians the opportunity to view the show before anyone else.
Setting an all-time record, the highly anticipated Wayward Pines will then roll out simultaneously in 126 countries across the globe within 24 hours, making it the largest day and date release for a television series ever.
With an all-star cast, the mysterious drama follows Secret Service Agent, Ethan Burke, played by Matt Dillon (Crash), who arrives in the bucolic town of Wayward Pines. On a mission to find two missing federal agents, Ethan’s investigation only turns up more questions. What’s wrong with Wayward Pines?
Academy Award nominee, Terence Howard (Crash, Hustle & Flow, EMPIRE), Academy Award and Emmy Award nominee Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear), Melissa Leo (The Fighter), Shannyn Sossaman (How To Make it in America) and Carla Gugino (Entourage) star alongside Matt Dillon in this obscure series, which is inspired by the best-selling novels by Blake Crouch and executively produced by De Line (Green Lantern, The Italian Job).
Each step closer to the truth takes Ethan Burke further from the life he knew and the husband and father he was. He quickly learns he must face the reality that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive.
