Best friends and National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) graduates Alex Russell (Chronicle, Carrie, Unbroken) and James Elliot (Raker) are set to take the Australian film industry by storm, as the duo have partnered to create their own creative outlet: Rockpool Films.

Rockpool films already have a good amount of projects coming up, including the crime drama Sons of Salt, which also features executive producer Adam Schroeder, famous for his work on Chronicle, The Truman Show and Sleepy Hollow; and Animal Kingdom‘s script editor Duncan Thompson as part of the team.

To find out more about Rockpool Films, we were lucky enough to sit down for a friendly chat with Alex and James, who made us feel at home by transforming the whole interview into a conversation between mates, where we were able to joke, talk about serious and random stuff (Including some hilarious bits dedicated to John C. Reilly), as well as to get some hints from Alex regarding a potential Chronicle sequel, the character he wanted to play on the Fantastic Four Reboot and working with Josh Trank and  Angelina Jolie.

Keep an eye on these young Aussie talents and support the Australian Film Industry!
