Matthew Nainby, who goes under moniker Future Jr, is a Brisbane based artist who makes the most amazing ambient-pop music worthy to keep on repeat for months on end. Influenced by the likes of Toro y Moi and Lorde, Future Jr began making music in his parents house with his guitar in one hand and swirling synth collection. He has just released his debut single ‘Suburbia Blue‘ which is somewhat of ‘coming of age’ story. Future Jr says “It’s all about feeling out of place, figuring out who you really are, and learning to deal with the dreams that feel bigger than you”. Watch the video clip for ‘Suburbia Blue’ below
