A fantastic A Levi’s® event was held on Wednesday, November 30 at Sydney’s Bucklers Canteen in Bondi Beach.
There were some very special guests at the event, because the world’s oldest pair of jeans (protected with government-style security) were Introduced by Levi’s fan Nacho Pop and presented by Levi’s® ‘Queen of the Archives’ Lynn Downey, who came directly from San Francisco. This is evident of the amazing quality of the Levi’s® brand as the 130 year old jeans, which apparently belonged to a cowboy didn`t look badly deteriorated at all after all these years, to the surprise of everyone at the venue.
That was not all, as Miss Downey also showed other old jeans, including a female style and a “Woodstock” looking style, all of them in perfect conditions, despite many years of age.
Afte the presentation, the party kicked off with Nacho Pop’s break dancers entertaining the crowd on the dance floor, Polaroid cameras made the rounds for guests to capture their wild moments, and even an impromptu fireworks display on Bondi Beach!
Other VIP guests at the venue were, Packed to the Rafters star Ryan Corr, rugby’s Jason Stevens and wife Bec, Jack Neat – model and beau of designer Kym Ellery, X Factor presenter Luke Jacobz, Bondi Vet star Dr Lisa Chimes, model and newly single Nathan Joliffe decked out in Levi’s, UK cricketer Monty Panesar, Politician Peter Garrett’s daughter Grace Garrett, Hillsong United frontman Joel Houston, Home & Away stars Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds, Sydney Swans player Lewis Roberts, male models currently rocking the NYC runway circuit the Stenmark twins (Jordan and Zac), young model Melissa Johannsen fresh from her New York shows, Levi’s Australia team and the official historian Lynn Downey, VIP guests, media representatives.
