About the film
Mysterious drifter, Paul (Ethan Hawke) and his dog Abbie (Jumpy) find themselves in Denton, a now forgotten town in the barren desert of the Old West. Tensions boil over following a violent confrontation with the untouchable and unforgiving Marshal (John Travolta) leaving the town caught between the bloody crosshairs of revenge. The grisly grit of the darkly comic drama is heightened by the outlandish banter of the cast, playing out on the rough, unforgiving terrain of the desert that comes alive on 35mm film, transcending cliché to offer a smartly conceived homage to classic Westerns.
