Shadowhunters’ Matthew Daddario joins Oz Comic-Con

SHADOWHUNTERS is based on the popular “Mortal Instrument” books written by Cassandra Clare and also stars Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Harry Shum Jr. and Isaiah Mustafa.  Daddario has won two Teen Choice Awards for his role in the series for “Breakout Star” and “Choice Syfy Actor”.

Prior to Daddario’s foray into television, he starred in leading roles in the reboot of CABIN FEVER (executive produced by Eli Roth), Thomas Carter’s WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL (opposite Jim Caviezel), Kristin Hanggi’s NAOMI & ELY’S NO KISS LIST (alongside Victoria Justice) and Drake Doremus’ BREATHE IN (opposite Guy Pierce and Felicity Jones), which premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Daddario joins a stellar line-up of film & TV guests attending the Brisbane and Sydney events including:

  • Australia’s own Dichen Lachman best known as “Reileen Kawahara” in Netflix’s smash hit Altered Carbon. Lachman also starred in Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, as well as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Supergirl, The 100 and Neighbours.
  • Dominic Sherwood known for his role in the teen vampire film Vampire Academy and more recently the hit fantasy series SHADOWHUNTERS.
  • Australian actor Nathaniel Buzolic who starred in Pretty Little Liars; The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off The Originals as “Kol Mikaelson”; and Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge.
  • Beloved voice-over star Christy Carlson Romano, who is best known for lending her voice to the titular character in Disney Channel’s Kim Possible.
  • Iconic Star Trek actress Gates McFadden, best known for portraying “Dr. Beverly Crusher” in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
  • Dominic Keating known for his role in the cult TV series, Star Trek: Enterprise.
  • Clare Kramer, best known for her role as the vengeful goddess “Glory” in the cult classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
  • Anthrax guitarist and thrash metal legend Scott Ian, who also appeared in The Walking Dead.
  • Nathan Jones, known as ‘The Megaman,’ an Australian actor and former WWE professional wrestler who starred in Mad Max: Fury Road and Troy (Brisbane Only)

All guests will participate in panels each day, as well as photograph and autograph sessions with fans.
